Question:
I currently have a CM flatbed on my truck. It is the ALSK model. It has the BandW turnover gooseneck ball hitch. I am looking at the BandW companion flat bed fifth wheel hitch base. I was wondering when I install the flat bed base will it still sit on the floor of the bed or is it suppose to sit in where the gooseneck box is?

Expert Reply:
The feet of the base should be sitting flush with the top of the gooseneck ball opening. Looking at the CM AL SK it you have a recessed area for the gooseneck hitch so the # BWRVB3055 will have to fit down inside there. The base is an 18" x 18" square so you will need to measure to see if it fits. There is also a maximum recessed box depth of 4". If you're looking for the full hitch with the head then you will need the # BWRVK3050.
