What is the Difference Between the Curt Trailer Hitches for a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

Question:
Why are there 2 Curt hitches for my 2023 Grand Cherokee L, and which one do you recommend?

The only difference between the Curt hitches, parts C97JR and # C96NR, is that the former was the initial hitch design while the latter was a slight redesign to help ensure fitment of this hitch on future vehicles as well. Both fit your 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L perfectly fine so it really just boils down to price and whether you think you might be able to use that C96NR on future vehicles or not.
I personally would just go with whichever has a cheaper price point since the odds of being able to use the same hitch for a different vehicle are a little slim unless it's the same generation Jeep.
