Question:
I have a flagstaff 822 by forest river. Its a pop up and Im interested in adding brakes to it. Do you have suggestions for an easy to install brake kit? It does not currently have brakes. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Forest River Flagstaff 822 did not come from the factory with electric brakes as standard equipment. In order to add some you'd likely need the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-2 and Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-545-2-1K for L44643 (1") bearings or part # AKHD-545-2-2K for L44649 ("1.063) bearings. If you don't know which bearings you have you'll need to pop off the hub and measure. In order to complete the swap you'll also need the etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit part # e99011.
