Can the Rackem RA-27C Be Mounted on a Trailer with 24 Inch Side Rails

I recently purchased the Rackem RA-27C for my trailor. I downloaded the installation instructions and noticed recommended height for side rails was 10-15 inches. My side rails are 24 in. Can I make this work at a 24 in. height? Thank you,

According to my contacts at Rackem, the mounting position of your Double Barrel Trailer Tailgate Assist # RA27C can be modified to the height that you need for your trailer with 24 inch rails. You will just want to make sure that the attachment point on the trailer tailgate is in the correct location.

It is recommended to use a mounting position of 10 to 15 inches, but if you have an appropriate mounting location on your trailer using the 24 inch rails you can mount the Double Barrel there with no problem.

If you do not have an existing mounting location, you could create a mounting location at your desired installation height. Make sure that you use appropriate materials that will support the weight and pulling forces exerted by the tailgate assist.
