Question:

I have a demco 5th wheel hitch that was in my previous ford f350 w/8’ bed. I have the base rails pn 6071 the demco recon base pn 6180 and the 5th wheel plate pn 6169. I am wanting to go to the demco auto slider unless you tell me otherwise. I know the base rails will be compatible but will I be able to use any of my other parts or do I have to buy a complete hitch? I currently have a 2023 Ford F250 with the 6.75’ bed. Thanks

The Universal Above-Bed Base Rails # DM6071 you referenced would be compatible with your 2023 Ford F-250 as long as you had the Demco Premier Series Custom Mounting Brackets for 5th Wheel Above-Bed Base Rails # DM42GV. As for the Recon hitch components, you will not be able to use either of these with the Autoslide hitches and would have to purchase a new Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034. Both the bases and heads are different designs and wouldn't be compatible with eachother.
