Identifying a Pin Box Model to Upgrade to the Curt Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box

Question:

I would like to replace my Lippert pin box with a flex air pin box. However, I am having a hard time determining which pin box I have so I know which flex air pin box to buy. I can’t find the part number, but I have the following information: s/n S008998666 , mfg date: 05/19/22, rpo- 0008449443 and LCI Item Number 2020106972

For some reason, some manufacturers decided it was a good idea to remove the pin box number from the label... which means the only way to figure it out is by calling them with the serial number or measuring your pin box to determine the one that you have.

I went ahead and contacted Lippert and determined you have the 1621 pin box.

That would make the correct Flex Air the Curt Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328492.
