Question:
Hello- I have a 2004 Mercury Mountainer-V8. What do I need to mount a Yakima Space Case on top of vehicle?

Expert Reply:
All you need to install the discontinued Yakima Space Case on your 2004 Mercury Mountaineer is crossbars with 30" to 36" spacing between them.
If you don't already have crossbars for your vehicle I recommend the Rhino-rack system which uses the following parts:
Crossbars # RRVA118B-2
Feet # RRSX100
These crossbars will install on the factory raised rails you have and will be adjustable to the range the Space case you have needs. The mounting hardware the Space case uses will have no problems working with these bars.
