Best supplemental braking system for flat towing a 2006 ford escape hybrid. The main thing Im worried about is the braking system for the hybrid has a dual braking system. One generates electricity for the hybrid battery. Thanks

The best supplemental braking system for your Hybrid model 2006 Ford Escape is going to be the Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System item # BLU37TR. It has a setting that addresses your dual braking system. You will want to select H mode for hybrids. This will prevent any damage to your power-assist brakes.
You will also need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-88400. It is required to prevent your Escape's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter.
