Question:

Is there anything that is close to the same size for replacement? Instead of one that is not going to cover up the original hole? Thanks

Most of the old Atwood propane or carbon monoxide detectors have been discontinued and sold out so options are pretty limited. Since I don't know the model of your detector or size of your cutout hole I can't say for certain that the RV Propane Gas Detector # RS64FR will cover the existing hole, but I can say that it comes with two trim pieces with the following dimensions to help cover the old cutout:

The long plate measures 7-1/4" wide, 3-3/8" tall and hole to hole measurements of 6" (center of hole to center of hole).

The short plate measures 5-3/4" wide, 4-1/2" tall and hole to hole measurements of 5-1/4" (center of hole to center of hole).
