Availability of Replacement 90 Degree Exhaust Pipe for Gen-Turi Generator Exhaust

Question:
Does this piece replace the existing 90° on the Gen-Turi? I have found a flaw in the Gen-Turi design. Either the plastic tube doesnt come down far enough or the metal pipe need to go up a little further into the plastic tube. The design as is still allows exhaust gases to escape to nearby tent campers. I added a small piece of stove pipe to the plastic tube at the bottom and it work better than new. You can actually feel the air being drawn into the tube. My thinking is if I buy this piece and drill out the rivets of the existing 90°, cut this one down so it only goes into the plastic tube a couple of inches, it will accomplish the same thing. Thoughts?

The Replacement 90-Degree Exhaust Pipe for Camco Gen-Turi RV Generator Exhaust System # CAM44812 is the replacement 90 degree section of exhaust you mentioned. I think you probably could modify this to what you are in need of but it's not something we can safely recommend.
