Installation Of The Demco Stay-IN-Play Coachlink Transmitter In A 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Question:
Have a 2017 wrangler rubicon. Bought the stay and play w/coach link and diode wiring kit. Do I need a brake light relay switch also or just wire coach link into the cold brake light switch wire?

Expert Reply:
To wire in the Coachlink transmitter from the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR you'll connect the red wire from the transmitter to the cold side of the brake light switch, which would be a white/brown wire for your vehicle. A lot of Jeeps will typically have the brake signal override the turn signal for about the first 20 mins of the trip until the vehicle "falls asleep" so we recommend just hooking everything up and letting the motorhome run for a little bit before taking off.
