Is There a Dexter Axle with 89" Hub Face and 75-1/2" Spring Center

Updated 06/01/2023 | Published 05/31/2023

Question:

Hi there. I am looking for help trying to identify a Dexter axle that I need to replace. The serial number is CD-D 2292275. The hub face to hub face is approximately 89 inches, but the spring mount centers appear to be 75-1/2 inches wheels off. The closest axles I see on the sire show 74 inches for the spring mounts. Any help will be appreciated.

The spring seats on an axle can be moved and this is a whole heck of a lot cheaper than going with a custom axle which is your other option so that's what I recommend. I'm not sure what capacity you need but I have attached some options below:

3,500 Lbs: part # e38GR
5,200 Lbs: part # 8327820
6,000 Lbs: part # 8327830

Please note, you might not be able to get the old spring seat off in one piece or choose not to remove the old one and in any case, you'll need part # TRSS238 for the 3,500 lb or part # TRSS300 for the 5,200 lb and 6,000 lb.
