Parts Needed To Convert A Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch To A Below-Bed Mount

Question:

Considering purchasing a Demco 6107 autoslide Fifth Wheel hitch from a neighbor who has it mounted above-bed…. I would like to use an under bed mounting system in my truck. Is it possible with this model and, if so, what parts kits do I need for the conversion?

Yes, you'll just need to order the correct underbed rails and new side mounting plates for the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550035. For a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 you'd need the Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for Demco UMS 5th Wheel # DR37FR.

For the hitch you'd have to unbolt the side plates and swap on the Replacement Side Plates for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # DM6004. The levers will make connecting to the underbed rails quick and simple.

I also recommend picking up the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole # PK11893-11932 so that you can run a 7-way into the bed to make connecting your trailer's 7-way cable easier.
