Question:

I have a Ford Explorer 2022. I was researching having 2 hullavators. I have 2 kayaks. One is 18.5 feet and 40 pounds. the other 16.5 feet and 45 pounds. I was wondering hoping for 2 hullivators with a 58 “ bar? or if I can Only use one hullivator what might work well for the 2nd kayak. Thank You!

I do have an option for you but it's not recommend to use two Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assists part # TH898 on the same roof. The reason for this has to do with both weight and crossbar length. The carrier weighs 40 lbs so in order to use two of these and carry your kayaks, you'd need a capacity above what most roofs can handle. The carrier also takes up 28-1/2" of crossbar space so in order to even fit both carriers on the roof, you'd need a pretty long crossbar in order to do so. I recommend the Hullavator for your heavier kayak and the etrailer Kayak Roof Rack part # e98878 for your lighter one.

In addition to all this, Thule simply does not recommend using two Hullavators togethers.
