Is it Safe to Replace Crash Bar with Curt Hitch on 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross

It looks like your hitch assembly replaces the Corolla Cross rear bumper beam. Is it as strong as the stock bumper beam? What happens if Im rear-ended when not towing a trailer? Will your hitch assembly hold up as well as the stock bumper beam?
