Question:
I have a 2021 Mazda CX30. If I install a 4-pin harness, and then a 4-pin to 7-pin connector, will the CURT Echo work? Not sure if I need to do more wiring beyond that...looking for something to use between my Mazda and my girlfriends 2022 Hyundai Tucson were buying a tear trailer with electric brakes.

Expert Reply:
The Curt Echo # C51180 does require the charge line on your 4 to 7-Pin Connector # C57672 to have power and ground connections. As long as you have this connected and a properly functioning 4-way on both your 2021 Mazda CX30 and 2022 Hyundai Tucson you will be able to use the Echo with both vehicle. If not you will need the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-75 to connect to each of the 4 to 7-Pin Connectors # C57672 on your vehicles.
