Can You Install Curt Spectrum Into 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4XE w/ Factory Tow Package?

Question:
I wanted to see if this controller will work for a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4XE? I do have the factory tow package installed. If it does work, so you know if the “plug and play” port will work, or will I have to splice the wires? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Expert Reply:
As long as your 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4XE has the factory trailer brake controller port underneath the dash then you can install the Curt Spectrum # C51170 without splicing into the factory wiring, but you will need to get creative with the harness.
Curt doesn't make a plug-and-play harness but Tekonsha does so you'll need the # 3073-P and you'll cut the smaller black connector off, and connect it to the # C51515 harness color to color with butt connectors # DW05745-5.
