Hi, kind of a dumb question. Can you a safety pin in this hitch? I like double safety on things , just in case. If so do you happen to know what the part number is? Thanks for time

Yes, you can use a coupler pin or safety pin with the Demco Trailer Coupler # DM14040-81. A pin like the # 37201211 will fit the 5/16" pin hole or you can use the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock # e98888 if you want even more security.
