Question:

I am changing my toad for my class C motor home hydraulic brakes from a Honda CRV to a 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid. I plan to use my existing Brake Buddy 3 auxiliary braking system with the Maverick, but wont be removing the wiring from the Honda. What wiring products will I need to use the Brake Buddy with my new Maverick? Thanks.

Welcome back! It looks like you have the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System item # HM39524. To replace all of the wiring you will want the following parts:

Replacement Dash Mount Connector for Brake Buddy Classic and Select item # HM39342

Replacement Breakaway System for Brake Buddy Classic and Select item # HM39340

BrakeBuddy Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Kit item # BB54FR

I see you already have the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar item # e74ZR. For a compatible base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit item # RM97RR. This base plate kit is custom fit and will work great with your 2023 Maverick.

Since you already have the 7-wire to 6-wire cable that comes with the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit item # RM-152-98146-7 all you will need to control your Maverick's lights is item # RM-152 and item # RM-910030-7.
