Question:
My motorcycle has a Hopkins 5 pin round trailer plug. I believe the Pollak 11-502 plug would be the same. My Time Out trailer camper has a 5 pin flat trailer plug. I have found an adapter to change the 5 pin flat plug to a 4 pin flat. My other vehicles can take a 4 pin flat. My question is can I adapt the 5 pin round plug to a 4 pin flat trailer plug? I really hate to cut the wires on the camper trailer. It seems the 5 pin round plugs are all being replaced with other types. My search has found nothing to help. Thanks,

The reason your motorcycle has a 5-pin connector and not a 4-pin is because the motorcycle trailer wiring setups have the stop lights separate from the turn signals which is different from standard trailer wiring. So you can definitely replace the 5-pin with a 4-way but you will need to use a kit that has a converter integrated into it that can combine those taillight circuits. For that you could use the part # C56190KIT. You'd just need to run your existing trailer wiring to the input side of the box after removing your 5-way and then running the power wire of the box to the battery of the motorycle.
