Can You Install Tracks for a Roof Rack On a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan

Questions about roof rack rail kits for my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan with a naked roof. Id like flexibility and the ability to mount a roof top tent as well as long items like canoes, kayaks, etc separately. I have roughly 84 of roofline to work with, would Yakima HD 72 rails be an option? There would be some curvature needed.

As you may know, there are no custom roof rack options for a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. Therefore, the best and really only option we offer for installing a roof rack and accessories is by installing a set of tracks which require drilling. I see you were looking at the Yakima HD Tracks but these won't really serve a benefit over the Yakima Tracks since you can't use them for a ladder rack and they will just add extra height which produces more noise. I also don't recommend using a super long track as the vast majority of it will be unused since all these accessories you want to carry require much smaller crossbar spreads. Finally, you need to have the loads relatively centered for the vehicle to be able to support them so the extra length just encourages improper loading. I recommend the Yakima Aero Bar Roof Rack part # Y57CV which is a simple kit that has everything you need to get setup with a roof rack for hauling all your favorite accessories.
