Question:
I have a prodigy wireless brake system on my Viking 13’ Travel trailer. I tried to pair the unit in my tow vehicle with the trailer. The unit does the countdown, P5, P4, etc but won’t continue to pair. How can you tell if the controller on the trailer is working? Thanks for any help.

After the countdown is it showing c.E. again? If so, check your 7-way to make sure you have constant 12V power running to the unit. Assuming you have 12V power here the Tekonsha Prodigy RF will have power as well. If you're worried about it you could also test the 7-way for power on the unit itself where you plug the trailer in.
If you're getting a different readout on the display it is possible something else is wrong, but I would need the error code to troubleshoot that. Assuming you followed the pairing instructions, if it still isn't pairing it could be that the remote has failed and needs to be replaced with # TK27FR.
I wasn't able to find any order history so I'm not sure when you got the brake controller or which Prodigy RF you have. If it is the older model that doesn't have Bluetooth, a replacement remote is no longer available and the only option would be total replacement. Instead of the Prodigy RF I would recommend the Curt Echo # C51180. This uses your existing smartphone to pair instead of a remote so that is one less part that could fail.
I have attached the instructions, along with an installation video below for your reference. The video runs through the pairing process starting at the 11 minute mark.
