Troubleshooting Curt Echo Trailer Brake Connector Going From Flashing Green to Solid Blue
Updated 03/13/2023 | Published 03/11/2023 >
Question:
I have an Echo Wireless brake controller that has worked great for the past 2+ years. Now, suddenly I get a warning alert indicating my trailer is disconnected and a blinking and constant Blue indicator light. I’ve reset, reinstalled the app several times. The pairing process works and when I depress the orange circle on the app, the light blink’s green for a couple of seconds followed by an alert message and blue light. Has my controller failed? Thanks for any assistance.

To verify if your Curt Echo # C51180 is at fault I recommend checking it with another trailer in known good condition with a fully functioning 7-way. This will help you to ensure the fault is not caused by a corroded wire or bad ground on your current trailer. The light flashing green and going to a solid blue light makes me feel there is a week ground connection. Be sure to check your trailer wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion.
