Question:
Im trying to lower the nose of my 5th wheel trailer which has a Lippert 1621HD 5th wheel pin box. Using Curt A20 hitch. Currently all adjustments are in the lowest position. The MORryde # MR24VR pin box looks like it is on a les of angle. How can I find the dimensions of the from the top bolt to the flat plate where the king pin is mounted.

Expert Reply:
The MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box # MR84VR you were looking at has a total height of 11.35" (pictured below) so you wouldn't see much of a difference from the standard pin box you currently have. Based on what you've stated and the pictures you've provided you're not going to be able to adjust the pin box or the hitch enough to lower the nose of your trailer so the only option would be to raise the height of the trailer.
This can be done by replacing the leaf spring hangers with longer ones, using a Correct Track lift kit like part # RR23QX, or by using an Over-Under conversion kit like part # K71-385-00 (if your leaf springs are below your axles). The easiest option out of these would be to use the Correct Track kit, which will raise your suspension either 1-1/4" or 2-1/4" in height.
We typically recommend having at least 6" of clearance from the top of the bedrails to the nose of the trailer so you wouldn't really need much of an adjustment with the 10" that you currently have.
