Question:

Re.Demco Autoslider Hitch I have used for a few years a Demco Autoslider Hith installed in a TITAN XD DIESEL pickup truck using the NISSAN TITAN UL Rail adapter. My question is regarding annual maintenance and periodic inspections. What should be done every year before the RV season or monthly to keep the unit working fine? Thanks

According to the manual I have linked below, just some lubrication is needed for the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034.

The manual says you can check the jaw pins, removing them, cleaning them, and applying a light coat of grease. Also once a month or every 5,000 miles, inspect the lower guide plates and roller for excessive wear, and apply multi purpose or lithium grease to the side gear racks. For this use the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease # L11316.
