Does the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers Change the Ride Height?
Updated 02/28/2023 | Published 02/25/2023 >
Question:
I would like to switch from my 4inch ped 5200 lb dual axle leaf springs to the Timbren Silent Ride set up. Is this going to change my ride/deck height or do I need to get straight axles? Also does the Silent Ride need a cambered or non cambered axle?

Expert Reply:
The Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers item # TSR10KT02 shouldn't change your ride height unless you're removing a lift kit or changing the mounting position of your axles from below the springs. The center of the axles will be 6-1/2" below your frame using this system, so you can measure your current set up to confirm.
This system works with both types of axles so long as they are 3" in diameter. You will need to grind or cut off your current axle seats.
