Which is Better Cushioned Pin Box the Curt Flex Air or Curt Air Ride

Question:
I have a 2021 Montana 3761FL with 1621 rotaflex on it currently, and towed by a F350 6.7 diesel dually with air lift bags, and a BandW Companion 25k on it. I want to upgrade to a cushioned pin box to reduce the jarring on the rig and truck when traveling. I am not sure which is better the air ride or flex air by Curt, or some other manufacturers box. I want to use a pin box that Lippert approves of so it will not void the frame warranty on the rig. Sincerely, Todd

Hey Todd, the better option is definitely the Curt Flex Air part # LC328492 over the Airride # LC158778.
The Flex Air has the same vertical air bag cushioning as the Air ride but it also has horizontal cushioning in the pin box mounting plate to provide a smoother ride quality. Sometimes this pin box doesn't work with auto sliding fifth wheel hitches (depends on which one) but for a B and W Companion part # BWRVK3305 like what you have this would work just fine and is for sure the better option. Basically the Flex Air is a combination of the Rotaflex you have now and the Air ride to give best of both worlds
Is there much chucking with your current setup?

Yes, it seems to be an oscillation, the trailer seems like is rocks on the axles
