Question:

2012 Ram 2500, Purchased a 6077 18K Demco Auto slide with UMS side rails and under bed mount frame bracket. Is there a way to put locks on this hitch to prevent the removal of my hitch while installed in the bed of my truck. Thanks

With the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550022 weighing in at 300lbs the likelihood of it being stolen is pretty slim but there are still a couple options that you can take to help prevent theft. On the side mounting plates # DM6004 there are pins that prevent the puck handles from turning that you could pop out and put in some padlocks to prevent the handles from moving making it impossible to remove from your bed. The holes for these pins are just over 3/8" thick.

You can also use a cable lock like # e98891 and run it through the hitch head jaws and an in-bed tie down loop to help secure the hitch.
