When we installed the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7322 on a 2020 Honda HR-V we found it to have a hitch height of 15". This would put it at 12-1/2" to the bottom of the receiver. This is currently the only HR-V we have been able to test fit this receiver on in our shop and get a measurement. Your 2016 Honda HR-V may vary some depending on how much the suspension has settled and the trim level with wheel and tire size.
We do offer the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118673 if your carrier has a 4-way flat connector for added lights. Or you can add Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if the carrier impairs the view of your tail lights on your HR-V.
