Question:
I have a show quality 1948 Ford F1 with a short bed and bumpers that measures 188inch in length. Truck also has twin side mounted rear view mirrors and is always stored inside. Should I order the 188inch max cover or the longer version and will the mirrors cause the material to be over stretched and possibly torn?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For a show quality vehicle I strongly recommend a custom fit cover. They are made to order to fit the specific dimensions of your 1948 Ford F-Series truck. I have included a link to the options for you. You just need to use the drop down menu on the link to choose the correct configuration.
For the universal fit cover # CA10015 it actually measures 187 inches long overall so going with a longer cover would be best. The additional length of the longer cover will also help with the width due to the side mirrors. The covers should not tear but if not wide enough securing the cover properly could be an issue.
If you go with a universal fit I recommend going up to the next size using # CA10019 which is 188 to 230 inches long. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
