Option For Malone Trailer With Higher Than 600 lb Capacity

Question:
Will part sp-178275 be compatible with Malone low max trailer so I can increase my weight carrying capacity? Original springs are 24 5/8 center eye to center eye and 4 1/2 in..

Expert Reply:
Those springs will not, as they are both shorter in height and use a different size bolt than the springs on your LowMax; additionally, changing leaf springs wouldn't increase the capacity set by the manufacturer. If you wanted something with more than the 600 lb capacity of the LowMax you'd need to upgrade your trailer to something like the Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer # MPG464-LB.
