Replacement Gen-Y Gooseneck Pin Box for Lippert Turning Point

Question:

I own a Grand Design 295RL fifth wheel with a Turning Point pin box. I would like to replace the Turning Point with either the Reese Goosebox or the Gen-Y executive. I can find no signage on either the wings or the pin box to indicate fitment of the above named replacements. Can you offer any guidance?

For your application you'll need the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY48GR which is designed to fit as a replacement for the unique bolt pattern of the Lippert Turning Point pin box. Reese currently (April 2022) doesn't have a Goosebox option that fits in place of the Turning Point.

Please note that the loaded pin weight of your Grand Design 295RL needs to be within the 1,500 lb - 3,000 lb range for this pin box to work properly.
