No, once you have the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR wired up in your 2022 Ram 1500 all you'll need to do is calibrate the controller. This can be done by simply driving around and and then coming to a complete stop. The control knob of the unit will blink blue and green during this process and will eventually be solid blue when fully calibrated.
I've installed a few of these myself and the unit has typically calibrated for me within just a few minutes. I recommend picking up the Redarc Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # 331-TPH-020 to make installation quick and easy. You can definitely save your self some money and complete this installation at home.
I've attached a short video below where Brad will walk you through the installation process.
