Question:

I am looking for a new/complete 13-foot awning powered by the Solera Smart Arm so I can add accessories. I currently have a 15-foot manual awning and I want to upgrade it to a powered awning. However, the current manual awning goes over my window and when I called Lippert, they suggested I get a shorter awning if I wanted the powered function because the Solera Smart Arm should not be mounted over the window. Is this 13-foot awning something you can order? I cannot seem to find this on your web site as a complete kit. Alternatively, if there is a way to shorten my current awning from 15 feet to 13 feet, please advise if thats possible and then I just need the Smart Arm and not the roller and fabric assembly. Lippert recommended to me this part: 759405 69 INCH SMART ARM - WHITE I am attaching a photo of the current awning and the problem I see with the window in the way. I specifically want the Smart Arm setup because I like the sensors that can be attached. I am open to other suggestions, but I either Im not finding the complete set on your website, or I need to piece things together to get what I want. Thanks,

I do have an option for you but we only offer the Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning in three lengths; 16' part # LC517486, 18' part # LC517505, and 20' part # LC517517. It doesn't sound like any of these will work for your setup but we do offer power 13' awnings like the Solera 12V XL Power RV Awning part # LCV000334926-362243. The main difference between the Solera Smart Arm and Solera XL is that the Smart Arm allows you to add a wind sensor and security sensory. The Solera XL has a longer canopy however so it will offer more protection.

Unfortunately, we don't have any recommended methods for shortening the awning roller tube and fabric that you have now. I have attached our full selection of awnings to look through as well if neither of these are good for you.
