Is a break away battery for the electric brakes on the trailer enough battery to operate this awning, or am I going to need something a little bigger?

To power the Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning # LC517486 you simply will connect your white power wire with the white wire from the switch and run that to the positive terminal of the battery inline with the supplied 15amp fuse. From here, connect your red wire from the motor to the blue wire off the rocker switch, and ground the black wire from the switch.

The breakaway system needs its own dedicated battery and should not be shared by any other accessories, additionally, your battery for your breakaway system is likely a 5 amp battery which may also not provide enough power to power your awning.
