Does The 4" Wide Continuous Hinge Have A Rust Preventative Coating?

Does this hinge have any kind of coating to prevent rust? Or does it need painted?

Expert Reply:

The 4" Wide Continuous Hinge - 6' Long - 3/8" Pin Diameter # MA85VR is made from mill finished steel with a commercial die cut quality, however they are not coated with any rust preventative.

With that being said, it would absolutely be a great idea for this hinge to be painted over with some rust-preventative paint.
