Troubleshooting ETBC7 Adapter Not Functioning After Install

Question:

tem # ETBC7 does not seem to be working properly. I bought about a month and a half ago and just had it installed by my local auto shop. They didn’t have trailer so couldn’t test it. I connected to trailer and it’s not connecting to brake controller. I used my multi meter and I’m not getting any readings off the right blinker or brake connectors. Something has to be wrong with the harness or plug.

The # ETBC7 is just a 4-way to 7-way adapter # 37185 and the additional wires needed to install it. If yours isn't working I would first make sure the 4-way is plugged into the adapter and also make sure the ground wire of the adapter is connected. The turn signal circuits are controlled by the 4-way that plugs into the adapter which if that's not functioning that could easily be the problem.
