Question:
I have a 2013 georgetown motorhome and flat tow a 2018 ford explorer behind it. Im looking at two lectric ebikes to purchase and would like a bike carrier that could carry two ebikes on motorhome hitch and still flat tow my ford explorer with my road master tow bar. Any solutions available you are aware of to accommodate this configuration avoiding the necessity of putting the bike rack on the rear hitch of explorer? Thank you in advance in sharing any knowledge you may have.

The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-8 will allow you to carry a bike rack and flat tow your 2018 Ford Explorer behind your 2013 Georgetown RV motorhome. You will be able to insert your tow bar in the lower receiver and a Bike Rack # HLY64FR in the upper receiver. The adapter is rated for up to 400lbs of tongue weight but it will reduce your receiver capacity by 50%. So if you have a receiver rated for 500lbs of tongue weight it will be only 250lbs. The adapter weighing 27lbs with the Bike Rack # HLY64FR weighing 58lbs this would leave you with 165lbs for your bikes. This particular rack is rated for 2 bikes up to 80lbs per bike.
