Replacement Hub For Swapping To Grease Over Oil Bath Hubs On 2008 Floe Versa Max Snowmobile Trailer
Question:
I have a 2008 Floe Versa Max 4 place dual axle snowmobile trailer I want to change the troublesome oem oil bath hubs over to grease hubs. Either by just changing wheel seals over and oil caps to grease cap on existing hub, or if financially feasible to just change entire hub assembly over to a galvanized grease hub. My shop foreman tells me it has 2200# torsion axles. Please advise

Based on the information I was able to find for your 2008 Floe Versa Max snowmobile trailer it looks like it uses the # L44649 Bearings, and Seal 151972KBN. This will allow you to replace the hubs with the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 8-259-50UC1 as long as your axles have not been modified or replaced from the time they left the factory. You can confirm this hub will fit by measuring the spindle for a 1.063" straight spindle. The included grease seal fits a 1.5" landing above the straight part of the spindle for the bearings. If you have any different measurements please let me know so I can verify if we have a replacement hub to fit your spindle.
It will be difficult to find a grease cap to fit your current hubs as it uses a threaded cap from Turbo Lube which is no longer in production.
