Potential Replacement Key For a 27 Lock Core on a VW OEM Base Carrier Bar

Question:

VW OEM base carrier bar 5G4071126 replacement keys/cylinder Do you know which key/cylinder set works for this? The keys have 27 etched into them.

We have had this come up in the past. Some of the VW OEM parts were manufactured by Thule and some by a company named Montblanc.

We would not have a key if it is Montblanc. If it was manufactured by Thule, the Replacement Key for Thule Racks and Carriers # THKEYN027 would be the only "27" key that is available. Unfortunately there is a chance this key may or may not work. If your lock core only has a "27" and not "N027" it is likely an older lock core and these keys do not always work.

But the Replacement Key for Thule Racks and Carriers # THKEYN027 is the only "27" option available from Thule.
