Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 with OEM Prep Package

Question:

Planning on purchasing a 2023 Reflection 278BH 5th wheel. Which 5th wheel hitch is lightweight, fits 2023 GMC Sierra 3500HD AT4 Standard 69 bed OEM puck system, and compatible with the Turning Point Pin. Thank you.

The fifth wheel hitch I always recommend for a 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 with OEM Prep Package is the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3710. The reason for this is that it's the best option available. The B&W Companion has thick dual locking jaws which grip the kingpin tightly to provide a smooth ride and a cam-action handle so you can uncouple the trailer on uneven ground. I will say however that it's not exactly lightweight but it's very durable and comes with a lifetime warranty. If you're worried about getting the hitch in and out of the truck bed by yourself, you can actually separate this hitch into two sections, the head and base for easier lifting. It's still a little on the heavy side but it's a one person job.

The B&W Companion is compatible with the Lippert Turning Point Pin Box.
