Troubleshooting A Furrion Tankless Water Heater That Isnt Turning On

Question:

Just installed this unit. I have 12v power and propane getting to the unit but unit does nothing when hot water is turned on.

Does the controller/thermostat for your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR light up and give you any indicators that hot water is being called for? If the controller is lighting up then it isn't receiving power from the main unit or the communication wires aren't properly connected to the main unit to communicate that it needs to start up.

There is a switch inside of the main unit next to the exhaust vent that will need to be turned on for the unit to operate. If it's on and there's still no power then you'll need to check the fuse located above the switch.

As for the communication wires, it doesn't matter which blue wire from the controller is connected to the blue wires on the main unit, but they will both need to be properly attached so that they can properly communicate. I recommend using a butt connector over a wing nut to ensure a tight connection.

Let me know if your thermostat/controller is working and if it's giving you any error codes and then we can keep troubleshooting from there.
