Question:

I have a 2021 dodge ram 2500. i have calculated that I need an 8 drop for my snowmobile trailer. I cant find a hitch to accomodate my towtector system from my other truck. any suggestions?

For your application I recommend checking out the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10050B which fits a 2" hitch receiver and has a 9" drop and a 9-1/2" rise for the max settings. Since it comes with 3 hitch balls and has the varying height settings this makes it an extremely versatile ball mount that should work great for both of your vehicles.

The one thing you need to check is that the shank has enough clearance to install on your trailer hitch and still have enough room for your Towtector to fit. The hitch pin holes on the B&W measure 3" and 4-1/4" to the gusset portion as you can see in the attached photo. According to Towtector you need at least 1-1/2" of shank for the mud flaps to fit properly so you'll need to measure from the center of your hitch pin hole to the face of your receiver and compare that to the shank dimensions to see if this works for you.

I also recommend securing your investment to your trucks with a locking hitch pin like the InfiniteRule Locking Pin # 34061075-D.
