Was thinking of wiring a 7 pin trailer connector with only the power and ground wires to connect to a house battery in the bed of my truck. 22 Ram 1500 e-torque Can I use a battery isolator to disconnect the power when the ignition is off? Thanks,

Yes, a battery isolation solenoid would allow you to cut the power from your start battery when the ignition is off, but wiring it to only cut the power to 7-way on the rear of your Ram could be a bit tricky. You wouldn't want to kill everything in the truck so you'd most likely to need run a wire from the isolator back to the 7-way and splice it into the 12v wire before the socket.
You can test the wires in your 7-way to find the 12v wire with a tester like # PTW2993 and you'll want to use a heat shrink butt connector like # DW05745-5 to help protect the connection point from any water damage.
