Hello, I am lookong to buy a 2010 gx 460 to tow a car with it. It seems like the oem lexus tow hitch is unavailable. Could you tell me what i would need to take advamtage of the full 6500 lbs towing capacity? Also i will probably need brake controller and weight distribution hitch

Since the aftermarket receivers like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e46YR are only rated for up to 5,000lbs towing capacity for your 2010 Lexus GX 460 you will need to have a custom receiver fabricated. You should be able to use this receiver but will want to find a fabrication shop that will do the work for the receiver to determine exactly what is needed.
Often times the factory tow package will include a transmission cooler. As there is not an aftermarket option you can verify with your dealer if this is required and if they have a factory one still available.
The Universal Wiring Harness w/ ModuLite and Brake Controller Harness # 22551 will allow you to install a the wiring needed for a 7-way along with a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195.
The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0800 is rated for a trailer up to 8,000lbs with a tongue weight of 400-800lbs. You will need a 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100 and a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to connect to a trailer with 2-5/16" coupler.
