i am looking at purchasing a 5th wheel camper with 2,300 pound hitch weight and 13,000 dry weight. i currently have a 2021 gmc 6.6 diesel with the standard 69 bed. it has the factory puck system installed. the truck has a 18,500 pound towing capacity, and a 2,775 tongue weight. i am looking for a hitch and air bag system i can control from the cab. what are your recommendations for each. i would prefer a fixed hitch, not a slider if possible. let me know if you need additional info.

If you're looking for the best hitch possible for a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 then it's the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch, part # BWRVK3710 for 20,000 lbs or part # BWRVK3715 for 25,000 lbs. If you have a lighter trailer you can save a bit of money going with the lesser rated option or you can opt for more margin of error and go with the higher rated one. The B&W Companion is the best because it uses extra thick locking jaws which provide a smooth ride, has a cam-action handle so you can uncouple even on uneven terrain, and an easily removeable head to save your back getting the hitch in and out of the truck bed. It's also made here in the United States and comes with a lifetime warranty.
In order to help the vehicle better support the weight of the trailer you'd be wise to look into suspension enhancements. I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs part # F2709 as it will provide you with the best mix between support and comfort. In order to control them from inside the cab, you'll need an on-board compressor for which I recommend the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System part # AL25980EZ.
