Troubleshooting Curt Echo Brake Controller Connected but Not Braking

Question:

I have the curt 51180 on my 2020 F150. It is paired and appears to be working, however when I press the brake it doesnt apply brakes to the trailer. I see the ring light up a little bit but I cant hear the brakes applying. Also, when I push the circle to engage the brakes manually, the circle lights up but doesnt actually activate the brakes on my 2023 travel trailer. Help

Is it possible you have the max output and/or aggressiveness settings too low on your Curt Echo # C51180 and that's why it doesn't feel like the brakes are working? If the trailer wasn't connected or if there was a short on the wiring that should be pretty obvious on the display of the Echo.
