Ground Clearance of Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack on 2002 Honda Accord While Its On Tow Dolly
Published 12/19/2013 >
Question:
Im wondering about putting this rack on a 2002 accord 4 door sedan which will be towed on a tow dolly. Will that angle put too much weight on the hitch or put the bikes and hitch too close to the ground??

I am unable to say how close the rack would be to the ground, but I can provide you with some dimensions and you can take some measurements.
Starting at the hitch pin hole in your receiver, measure rearward 24 inches, then up 3 inches. This point will mark the extreme rearward edge of the bike rack, as shown in the photo I have edited for you. If you take a 24 inch long piece of wood like a piece of broomstick, and put it in the receiver opening with the end of it lined up with the hitch pin hole, and then pull the vehicle up on the dolly, you will get a pretty good idea of how the rack would work as far as ground clearance at the rear goes.
