Is there an Adapter to use Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar with Blue Ox Base Plates on a Jeep Liberty

Question:

I just ordered a Blue Ox base plate for my 2006 Jeep Liberty it looks easier to install than RoadMaster. Are there adapters available that will allow me to attach my Syow Master 5000 tow bar to the Blue Ox baseplate or do I have to purchase a Blue Ox tow bar? Thanks.

We have several adapters that can be used with Blue Ox base plates and other tow bar systems. Unfortunately we do not currently offer an adapter that will work for with your StowMaster 5000 tow bar that will be compatible with the Blue Ox base plate kit, # BX1122, that you have ordered.

I have included a helpful article that shows base plate and tow bar adapters and compatibility.

You can either use a different set of base plates like the Roadmaster # RM-521423-4. Or you could use a Blue Ox tow-bar. If your StowMaster 5000 is a coupler style of tow bar then you can use the Blue Ox Adventurer Tow Bar # BX7322.

The Blue Ox Adventurer base plate mounting specifications for this tow bar are between 16 and 34 inches apart. I have confirmed with my contacts at Blue Ox, and on your 2006 Jeep Liberty the base plate kit that is confirmed as a fit is the # BX1122, and this base plate kit will mount with the attachment points 20 inches apart. So the base plate kit that you ordered is compatible with the Blue Ox Adventurer tow bar.
