Hi, I was going to buy the Tekonsha PowerTrac Electronic Brake Controller - part number: 39523 and corresponding pigtail for my 2018 thor challenger 37tb motorhome. However when i called Thors service department she said I should look for a blue wire wrapped around the steering column? This seemed strange to me since it has a factory hitch and 7 pin hook up at the hitch? I thought I was just supposed to unplug a harness and then the pigtail? im confused thanks for the help in advance

Since your 2018 Thor Challenger has the factory 7-way that would mean that to install the Tekonsha PowerTrac electric brake controller part # 39523 all you need is the install harness part # 3035-P and you'd be set. This does plug into a port that is under the dash. The person you spoke with maybe was thinking of versions of the motorhome without tow package.
